We have so many stories to tell!

Our season may be over but we have so many stories to tell! I say this all the time, but this also might be my favorite video. They all are. Something that may seem so simple to some, this right here is HUGE progress for others. Luke (right) for years has had someone catch the ball for him and this was the year where Luke and his parents felt extremely confident in him to the point where we told our Mentors to throw the ball harder to Luke. That’s progress and it is very important to acknowledge it. When we see progress on the field what we like to think is what kind of potential does he have off the field in other ways. If we can see that he can learn here and be independent, where else in the community could he learn that skill? What’s even more cool, he is playing catch with another Athlete who also has a 1:1 volunteer. In reality, what we see are just two teenage football players playing catch just like any other kid. Gotta love this game.
